The word Ghibli is derived from African desert wind, and the Maserati Ghibli, the hot Italian sedan itself seems to be worthy of this title for its powerful engine with high acceleration and thrilling body. For the lovers of 5- series, A6 or E class exhausted by the similar upcoming trends, Meserati’s Ghibli 2014 is a powerful and luxurious alternative. Even after being a conventional sedan, the brands leadership’s and reviewers claim that Maserati Ghibli is going to give a tough competition to the competitors like BMW and Mercedes. This new model is based on the larger and earlier Maserati Quattroporte sedan which shares almost 50 percent of the technology with it.

Both models of Ghibli offer an amazing speed of ZF 8- automatic transmission. Depending on the mood, Ghibli offers fuel saving and sport modes where you can shift from acceleration to fuel saving mode. According to the news, there are four models of Ghibli but only two are said to be coming to USA for now.

Pros

First of all the performance of this car is amazing. The sport drive is safe and reliable with efficient road grip and braking system. The comfort level of the interior is high. The body is made up of high quality material and is also weight saving. Overall a good value for price along with that it gives a good competition to the other competitive alternates like Audi 7 etc.

Cons

The stereo system is poor. The steering wheel seems to be a flop; it is rated to be a disappointment. Moreover the gear buttons could have been better to read.

The Price

The price although not confirmed is said to be something between $66,900- $70,000.

The Verdict

Overall, the car is a great value for money which allows the drivers to enjoy a true Italian experience with comfort and thrill. Although the back seats and the steering seem to be a disappointed, there is a lot more in the plate which makes Maserati Ghibli 2104 drive a great experience. The safety, engine, styling sport mode and the acceleration are too good.
