Scion has been trying to introduce some of the fastest legal race cars in the market and the 2015 Scion FR-S by Speedhunters is certainly making an impact at the SEMA Show 2014. Scion certainly has a winner at hand with the FR-S and the new tuned vehicle offers much more to the race car. The car is a rear wheel drive and it has a low curb weight along with a tuned four cylinder engine that offers better performance. Speedhunters originally created this FR-S version for the Scion Racing Tuner Challenge.
Earlier, Scion decided to keep FR-S as the concept vehicle and therefore the company was able to play around with the exterior styling and design. It has a sharp and clean design that is somewhat inspired from Toyota Corolla and Toyota 2000GT. It has the sleek and low hood and roof line that makes this coupe sporty and aggressive and also improves the aerodynamics. Speedhunters has come up with the retro theme and custom fabrication that make the car look good and sporty.
Under the hood, 2015 Scion FR-S is powered by a 2.0 liter front boxer engine that produces 200 horsepower and 151 lb feet of torque. The engine is mated with six speed manual or automatic transmission. It accelerates from zero to 60 mph in 6 seconds and has the top speed of 145 mph. In terms of interior styling, the car has the 2+2 configuration that has been the same with any other model of Scion FR-S along with the large center mounted tachometer. The estimate price of the 2015 Scion FR-S by Speedhunters is $45,000 in the US market.
