Audi Introduces a Faster Version of R8 called Competition Edition

Audi has been known for introducing some of the fastest cars like R8. However, the German automaker has decided to take the competition to the next level with the introduction of the special Competition edition that will be a faster version of R8. While the vehicle looks identical to the regular R8 it certainly is faster than the regular version. Under the hood, it has the same V10 engine but instead of the regular 550 horsepower it churns out 570 horsepower. It also offers better torque performance to ensure superior acceleration.

With more power under the hood, the Competition edition R8 accelerates zero to 60 mph in just 3.2 seconds and offers top speed of 199 mph. The engine is mated with seven speed S tronic automatic transmission that improves the performance. The new R8 also includes carbon ceramic brakes that offer superior braking performance. In terms of exterior styling, Audi has decided to go with matte black carbon fiber mirror caps, aero enhancements for front, rear and side along with a new rear spoiler. Audi has also made an announcement that the Competition edition will be a limited version and therefore only 60 vehicles will be made for the North America market.
