Dodge has lined up quite a few vehicles for the SEMA Show 2014 that will be exhibited at the event, but the automaker has also decided to bring out a new vehicle from the past. The Challenge T/A Concept is the concept vehicle that is inspired from the muscle car of the seventies better known as Dodge Challenge Trans-Am. To make it contemporary, Dodge has decided to infuse the vehicle with modern day engine and performance parts that make it speedier than ever before.
The new concept vehicle will have naturally aspirated 458 bhp 6.4 liter Hemi V8 engine from the Challenger R/T Scat Pack. Dodge has also made few changes to the exterior styling to reduce the weight by replacing the heavier Challenger rear seats, sound insulation and carpets.
Instead, Dodge designers have used carbon fiber to bring down the overall weight of the car. The concept car also gets Brembo brakes from the Hellcat. To provide more air to the engine, this concept car makes use of two perforated headlights. It also gets new exhaust that adds lot of noise to the vehicle, but without compromising the performance of the vehicle. The Kermit-the-Frog Sublime Green paint with sideburn stickers, black front splitter and gurney-lip spoiler just adds to the style and performance.
