Arrive In Style With These 5 Executive Saloons

We’ve got a big soft-spot for large executive cars. We love the feeling of the soft leather interior and temperature controlled seats. We’re obsessed with modern car technology, and these vehicles are full of it! They’re mostly the preserve of company car owners, business people, and larger families. They allow you to arrive in style, and make a classy entrance. They’re showy, but not in-your-face like a sports car. The best models are curvaceous, elegant, and stylish. Let’s take a look at some of our favourites.

1. BMW 5-Series

The BMW 5-Series is widely regarded the best executive saloon on the planet. The German manufacturers have a long legacy of building quality executive cars. All their experience and tradition culminates in the wonderful 5-Series. The team at Imperial Car Supermarket were kind enough to lend us one for the weekend, and we didn’t want to give it back! BMW have the unrivaled ability to match practicality with excitement. The 5-Series is comfortable and refined, but when you put your foot down, it morphs into a pouncing tiger.

2. Jaguar XF

Jaguar are the flag bearers for luxury driving. They have a quiet confidence in their refined, elegant appearance. They welcome the driver into the cabin with beautifully designed leather trim and real wood finishing. The car itself is quiet and comfortable to drive. Every bump in the road is ironed out with responsive suspension that changes with the road. It swallows any discomfort so the driver gets the best possible experience.

3. Audi A6

BMW’s German rivals at Audi have an equally impressive resume of fine driving. Their range of professional, executive motors have provided a modern alternative for decades. Audi have always been one step ahead when it comes to technology and modern style. Rather than following a refined design, the Audi A6 opts for a sportier front end and fierce headlights.

4. Maserati Ghibli

The boys club of BMW, Audi, Mercedes and Jaguar are certainly luxurious. However, there’s a certain uniformity and predictability about them. If you’re looking for something that will turn heads in the office car park, take a look at the Maserati Ghibli instead. Maserati is a name associated with sports cars and speed. But, they know how to craft a fine executive car too. It’s the fastest car here (it’s also the most expensive), but it is – by far – the best looking.

5. Mercedes E-Class

We couldn’t create a list of executive cars without turning to Mercedes. They have long been the grandfathers of luxury driving, and their crown isn’t fading just yet. The Mercedes badge is a mark of luxury, but it’s also starting to embrace a new reputation. Mercedes are pushing the boundaries of modern car technology further than any others. The car will park itself, detect pedestrians, and follow the car in front of it with precision. It’s not as fun as the BMW, but when it’s this comfortable, you won’t mind one bit.

That concludes our list of executive motors! Which is your favourite?

Sean Bean

Sean Bean is fond of vehicles and love to grasp information about them, no matter those are 4 wheelers or 2. Provide him a cup of cappuccino and he can talk for hours.
